Summer 2010
I've got good news! I am now an in-network provider for Blue Cross of Minnesota!! If you are a Blue Cross member and looking to use your health insurance benefits for acupuncture treatment, I suggest you call the member services number on the back your member ID card to verify your coverage. I am looking forward to working with you!
Summer is here and already temperatures are climbing leaving us sticky and hot. Time to find ways to cool off and not overheat. Keep an eye out for the signs of heat exhaustion: heavy sweating, rapid pulse, dizziness or muscle cramping. Make sure you are drinking enough water and if exercising, try to do it at cooler times of the day like early morning or evening when the outside temperature is lower. Take your cue from kids -- you're never too old for a popsicle and a run through the sprinkler!!
Here are some foods that will help cool you this Summer:
- cucumber
- bean sprouts
- watermelon
- lettuce
- celery
- fruits like strawberries and grapes
- tomatoes
